All Levels Pottery - Wednesday 6th January 10am - 12.30pm

£225.00

Our All Levels Pottery course at Clay Shed, Bristol welcomes complete beginners and experienced potters alike; if you've never touched clay before or you're returning to work on your own ideas and projects.

Taught by potter Erika Faggiani, this six-week course offers a relaxed, supportive studio environment. With a maximum of seven students per class, Erika can give everyone focused, personalised support and you can progress at a pace that feels right for you.

What you'll learn

Across six weekly sessions, you'll build confidence and skill while creating finished, fired pieces. What you do depends on where you're starting from.

For complete beginners, the course covers:

  • Foundational handbuilding techniques: pinching, coiling and slab work

  • An introduction to the wheel: centering, pulling walls and forming simple shapes

  • Surface decoration using texture, slips and oxides

  • A dedicated glazing session in the final week

For improvers, the course is a chance to work more independently. You'll set your own direction, whether that's:

  • Refining your throwing

  • Experimenting with form and surface

  • Tackling more ambitious pieces

With Erika on hand for guidance, troubleshooting and encouragement when you need it, you'll leave with finished, glazed pieces ready for collection after firing.
